AESTHETIC

Most solar collectors are designed to be mounted on top of the roof tiles. Solareks manufactured roof integrated collector system, aimed at the new construction market, where the solar collector is designed to be part of the roof itself.

INSTALLATION

The collector can be easily installed on any roof with its specially designed casing and the installation kit.

FAST HEATING RESPONSE

The heat transfer medium in the collector is limited to volume of 2,5 lt/m2 for fast response for domestic use.


 

ABSORBER PLATE

The absorber plate surface is matt-black painted for sunny places. For the places where sunbeam intensity is low, selective coated absorber plates are used. The coating process creates a metal structure with a very high solar absorptance of ˜95 % and a low emittance of ˜5 %. Thus the capacity of energy output is increased by a factor of 4 compared with matt-black paint where black body reflection takes place.

SEALING

The UV resistant EPDM rubber gasket has been used to give better sealing in all weather conditions and to avoid heat loss by conduction.

CASING

Collector casing is fabricated from aluminium extrusions with an integral mounting channel. Anodized AlMgSi0.5 has a useful life of 20 years approximately.

COVER

Low-iron tempered special glass with a light transmission ratio of 91% or normal glass is used. The special surface geometry lets the sunbeams through onto absorber plate at the correct angle even at a wider angle of incidence, thus minimising optical loss. Glass is fastened together with an aluminium capping around the perimeter.

INSULATION

The back and sides are insulated with glasswoll or polyurethane.
